Position: Part-Time Front Office Administrator with AR/AR Focus
Part-Time: 16–28 hours/week
Flexible schedule within office hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:25 PM
Pay: $21 – $24/hr (DOE)
Benefits: Paid Weekly, Paid Training, Paid Sick Leave, Affordable Healthcare Plan, Simple IRA (401K). Additional pro-rated medical/dental, vacation, and 401(k) eligibility upon conversion to permanent role.
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented administrative professional to join a well-established company in Auburn. In this part-time role, you will support day-to-day office operations while playing a key role in the financial processes of the business. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, your responsibilities will include processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payments and postings, verifying invoices against purchase orders, maintaining vendor records, and reconciling account discrepancies. You will also assist with payroll timekeeping, organize and file invoices, and manage inbound and outbound office communications. This is a great opportunity for someone who is comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced but respectful environment and who brings a solid foundation in AP/AR and administrative functions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in AP/AR or general accounting support
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and email platforms
- Ability to manage invoice coding, payment scheduling, and statement reconciliation
- Familiarity with financial software or ERP systems (QuickBooks, Sage, etc., preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Professional communication skills (both written and verbal)
- High degree of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive data
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn
