Join Our Team as a Production Machine Operator! New Era Staffing is seeking a dedicated Production Machine Operator on behalf of our client, a large food manufacturer in the Auburn, WA area. Position Title: Production Machine Operator &Receiver
Pay Rate: $21 - $23/hr
Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (OT is required as needed)
Location: Algona, WA

Position Summary:

The Production Machine Operator / Receiver is a hybrid role responsible for operating packaging machinery and supporting inbound material receiving to ensure efficient production and accurate inventory flow. This position operates and monitors packaging equipment to meet quality standards for weight, spicing, sealing, and code dating, while performing routine inspections, changeovers, and quality checks.

In the receiving function, this role is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming materials, maintaining organized inventory, and coordinating with production and warehouse teams to ensure materials are available as needed. Strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and effective communication are essential to supporting daily operations and production schedules.


Key Responsibilities for Recieving:

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Operate a forklift to transport materials and products within the production area.
  • Utilize a scanner to track inventory and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with production staff to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Assist with inventory management and reporting discrepancies as needed.



Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating production or packaging machinery in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred.

  • Forklift experience, current or previous forklift certification.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform equipment inspections, adjustments, and troubleshooting.

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure product quality, accurate code dating, and integrity of seals.

  • Familiarity with food safety, sanitation practices, and quality control procedures.

  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, production schedules, and quality standards.

  • Understanding of safety protocols and proper handling of equipment and materials.

  • Knowledge of metal detector procedures and packaging film usage.

  • Organizational and record-keeping skills to maintain accurate production documentation.

  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals.

  • Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing repetitive tasks.

  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, or overtime as needed.

  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Technical training or certifications in machinery operation, maintenance, or food safety are a plus.
