New Era Staffing is seeking a dedicated Production Machine Operator on behalf of our client, a large food manufacturer in the Auburn, WA area. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that values loyalty, career development, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Position Title: Production Machine Operator
Pay Rate: $21 - $22 Hourly
Shift: Monday to Thursday, 10:30 PM to 6:15 AM; Friday, 10:30 PM to 10:30 AM (Saturdays required as needed)
Location: Auburn, WA

Position Overview:
As a Production Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of packaging machinery. Your role will involve maintaining product quality standards, ensuring proper weight, spicing, sealing, and code dating of finished products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Perform checks on metal detectors as per instructions.
  • Execute changeovers and replace packaging film as necessary.
  • Coordinate spicing with the appropriate packaging film to ensure product quality.
  • Monitor code dates for accuracy every 15 minutes.
  • Inspect bag seams to verify the integrity of seals.
  • Collaborate with quality control to uphold production standards and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of all equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and proactively address potential equipment issues.
  • Communicate effectively with all production associates to ensure a smooth workflow and meet packaging schedule goals.


 Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience operating food processing equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and thorough knowledge of machinery.
  • Proficiency in using production computer programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think independently and make sound decisions.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure production environment.
  • Must be able to regularly lift rolls of film weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
